The Government of Japan through Japan International Coordination Center (JICE) is offering the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Developmnt Scholarship (JDS) Program for young government employees who are expected to play leadership roles in the Philippines and to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
The JDS objective is to provide participants with the opportunity to obtain master's degree (two-year courses) at Japanese Universities in order to support the human resource development policies of the Government of the Philippines.
The fields of study offered under this program are
- Public Administration
- Economics
- Business Admnistration
- Information and Communication Techonology
- Industrial Development
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A Filipino citizen
- Below forty (40) years old
- Civilian government employee, permanent status and has two (2) years of work experience in the public sector at the time of application
- Has a bachelor's degree relevant to the target fields exept for ICT field which applicants should have bachelor's degree in ICT or equivalent
- Has not been awarded foreign scholarship for Master's degree
- Has a performance rating of at least "very satisfactory" at the time of application
The scholarship benefits include a monthly living allowance in Japan, tuition fees, one round trip to and from Japan and other designated allowances.
Submit nominations not later than December 12, 2008.
